This program will take place at our dark sky site deep in the mountains of western NC. I’m proud to see UT Austin seizing the opportunity to demonstrate that our scientists, students and researchers belong among the elite, not just of Texas or the United States, but of the world. So, once you start watching it, be patient. Astronomy has had an impact on so many areas of our lives that we really don’t recognize. The ringworld is one of the classic “big dumb objects” of SF and inspires outside-the-box thinking, which I admire greatly.
